Certifications are received from a society of the professionals or from vendor of information technology such as Cisco, Microsoft etc. Usually, certifications have to be renewed from time to time in a periodic manner or it may remain valid for a certain period. In case of individual’s certification, it is imperative that individual must exhibit that his or her learning process is being continued and it is very often called as continuing education.

Mainly certifications consist of three common types. According to order of portability and development level these are corporate, profession-wide and product specific. Internal certifications or corporate are consisting of low-stakes organization in the matter of internal requirement or corporation. Portability of this certificate is limited for corporations, for instance it is easier to develop. Certifications in respect to product specific are wider and are meant for referring to product in case of all applications.

Existing systems of certifications by information technology, both attained and offered, has raised the eyebrows of certain technologists questioning their validity. Content of the proprietary nature which has been served on internet enables few to obtain credentials not taking into account about the implied breadth or depth of expertise. Agencies for certifications have replied in many ways. Incorporation of elements, methodologies for anti cheating have extended their content. Others have passed away and reconstituted their programs for certificate or enhanced their fees to block the abuse. Programs of certifications consider period of service and experience of demonstration through peer of the industry. Criminal record checking is also imperative for certifications of some professional for getting approval of the certification.
